- Home printer offline or not printing
- Cannot print from phone or laptop at home
- Printer worked and then stopped after Wi-Fi change
- Cannot get new printer to connect to home network
- Print jobs queue but nothing comes out
Common Causes
- Home Wi-Fi password change disconnected the printer
- Router replacement or upgrade caused printer to lose network connection
- Windows or macOS update changed printer driver or settings
- Print queue stuck or spooler service stopped
- Printer needs to be re-added after computer replacement or OS reinstall
What to Check First
- Check that your home Wi-Fi network name and password are the same as when the printer was originally set up. If they changed, the printer needs to be reconnected.
- Verify the printer is powered on and shows a network connection on its display (if it has one).
- Check if other devices — like your phone or tablet — can print to the printer. If they can, the issue is with the specific computer configuration.
- Check the print queue on your computer for any stuck jobs that are blocking printing.
- Verify which printer is set as default if you have multiple printers installed (including old, unused printers).
If none of these steps resolve the problem, a Nanicto technician can connect remotely and check your printer configuration directly. We will diagnose the problem and determine whether it can be resolved remotely.
